I used maternity leave from June 30, 2017, to September 28, 2017, and I took childcare leave from September 29, 2017 to September 28, 2018, the day after the end of my maternity leave. In my case, how can I calculate the number of annual paid leave days I’m entitled to?
According to Article 60, Paragraph 6, Item 2 of the Labor Standards Act, a woman on maternity leave is considered to have worked and the time period is treated in the same way as when work was provided. A person on childcare leave is also considered to have been at work, in the same way as in maternity leave. Therefore, you are entitled to the same number of annual leave days as other workers, whether or not you use maternity leave or childcare leave.
