Professionals (Period of stay : Maximum 5 years, Extendable)
1. Scope of Activities
Any professional activities that are allowed by the Korean Laws
2. Applicable Person
Persons holding foreign national qualifications recognized under Korean law, and who are permitted by Korean law to engage in the following activities:
- Aircraft pilots recommended by the Minister of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs.
- Doctors possessing the latest medical and advanced surgical skills, recommended for employment by the Minister of Health and Welfare, intending to work at the following medical institutions:
A. Medical institutions run by the state or local governments
B. Medical corporations
C. Medical institutions established by non-profit organizations and government-invested institutions
- Individuals who have graduated from a domestic medical or dental school and are undergoing internship or residency training at university-affiliated hospitals or hospitals designated by the Minister of Health and Welfare.
- Essential professional personnel required for ship operations, such as crew members, invited for purposes like the Geumgangsan tourism development project by those approved for inter-Korean cooperation projects under the Inter-Korean Exchange and Cooperation Act.
- Individuals employed by domestic transportation companies to work as essential professional personnel, such as captains, for ship operations.
