A. Persons who wish to participate in friendly matches, events, or conferences held domestically
- Includes participants in competitions such as golf and soccer, where prize money is awarded only upon winning, as well as performers in events like broadcasting and music competitions.
* Participants are included if the organizers cover airfare and living expenses, but excluded if they are invited to participate with compensation exceeding living expenses, apart from prize money.
* Friendly matches, etc., should be referenced in the contract to verify whether they exceed typical living expenses.
B. Persons who wish to stay for a short period to improve technical skills or abilities for government or corporate purposes
- Included if they receive compensation not exceeding living expenses; however, activities receiving compensation as a de facto remuneration for labor and acquiring skills are categorized under technical training (D-3-1).
C. If a South Korean citizen residing abroad needs to accompany a domestically hired household assistant into Korea for a short period (less than 90 days) due to humanitarian reasons*
* Humanitarian reasons such as childcare due to childbirth, post-surgery care, funeral proceedings, or equivalent situations.
D. In cases where a refugee legally recognized by the Republic of Korea under the Refugee Act Article 37 applies for a visa for family reunion, limited to their legal spouse and minor children, a visa valid for 90 days may be issued (verification of refugee recognition, proof of family relationship, and desire for family reunion is required).
E. Persons entering the country for short-term visit (C-3) purposes other than pure tourism (C-3-2) ~ general tourism (C-3-9) within the scope of activities.
