Chapter 3 Working hours, Recess, Off-Days and Leave

Calculating Overtime Work Allowance

My hourly ordinary wage is KRW 10,000. I worked for 10 hours from 1:00 pm to 11:00 pm on Sunday which is a paid holiday. There was no break in the middle. In this case, how much can I receive in total considering the additional allowance?
Overtime work means ① extended work (work exceeding 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week), ② night work (work between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am), and ③ holiday work. If you work overtime, you must receive an additional 50% or more of ordinary hourly wages.
In the questioner’s case, since Sunday is a paid holiday, even if you do not work, you will receive an 8-hour holiday allowance of KRW 80,000.
Plus wages for 10 hours of work (KRW 10,000 × 10 hours),
Plus a holiday work allowance of KRW 50,000 (50% of hourly ordinary wage: KRW 5,000 × 10 hours)
Plus extended work allowance of KRW 10,000 (KRW 5,000 × 2 hours),
Plus a night work allowance of KRW 5,000 (KRW 5,000 × 1 hour)
You should receive a total of KRW 245,000.
