Chapter 3 Working hours, Recess, Off-Days and Leave

When is an employee unfit to work for medical reasons? What are the obligations of an employee who is medically unfit to work: can he be required to provide a medical certificate? How many days can an employee be on sick leave without a medical certificate?

Unless it is not an occupational disease or injuries, sick leaves are not guaranteed by Korean labor law. This is discretionary between the labor and management.
